What's included in the Core platform?
Employee profiles, company directory, the org structure tree, role and permission management, onboarding workflows, the filing cabinet, and reports. Everything else (leave, expenses, training, etc.) is a module that plugs into the core.
How does the org structure work in Luna HR?
Luna uses flexible org nodes — company, regions, offices, departments, teams — rather than fixed schema. Employees join via memberships, and policies inherit down the tree. You can model any structure without forcing a particular hierarchy.
Can I store custom fields on the employee record?
Yes. Admins define custom field schemas with types (text, date, select, etc.), grouped into sections. Custom fields appear on the employee profile and are reportable.
Does Luna HR support multi-tenancy?
Every customer is isolated at the data layer with its own companyId scope. Within a company, role-based access controls determine who sees what.
Can I import existing employee data?
Yes. Luna HR provides a CSV import with mapping, validation, and rollback. Most customers migrate from BambooHR, HiBob, Personio, or spreadsheets in under a day.
